Are you a developing or experienced consultant who applies or wants to apply psychodynamic and psychoanalytic ideas and principles in your consultancy? Do you want to learn from – and share with - others how best to work in this area and how to best communicate your offer to potential clients?
The workshop will be divided into four sections:
1. Defining: Who you are in relation to potential clients, what do we call ourselves, how do we structure ourselves, how we network etc.?
2. Offerings: What products and services to offer at different stages of one’s consultancy practice
3. Phases of consultation: With specific emphasis on contracting with clients and gaining entry to an organization
4. Tools: A continuum of practical and theoretical tools ranging from user-friendly to specialized.
In addition, there will be space during the workshop for questions and discussion. We may also cover topics such as case material (including failures), the role of theory and how to use it, the use of supervision, professional ethics and how to end a consultation. A bibliography will be provided.
